Neak Poan is a unique Buddhist temple built in the late 12th century by King Jayavarman VII. The temple is located on a small island in the center of an artificial pond, surrounded by four smaller pools, symbolizing the four sacred lakes in Buddhism. In the center of the main pool is a circular island with a small temple, whose base is carved with two intertwined serpents (Nagas), which is the origin of the name "Neak Poan" (meaning "entwined serpents"). During the Angkor period, this was considered a sacred healing pool, and people believed the water had miraculous healing properties. Visitors need to walk along a long wooden walkway to reach the temple, enjoying views of the pools and surrounding natural scenery along the way. During the rainy season when water levels rise, the scenery becomes even more enchanting.
This, by far, was one of my favorite temples.\nThis Temple was not over seen by the King. This temple architecture and building construction was overseen by one of the Kings advisors.\nThis is the reason the design looks so different from the other temples.\nThe other reason that this Temple looks so good is that they used a different sandstone than the other Temples in the area. This sandstone is much more dense and holds up better in the weather over time.\nThe carving is crisp and clean!\nIt was hot. They do have plenty of shade. You can buy water and they have many shops.

雕刻精美的小寺庙。建造耗时三十余年。和吴哥的不同，这里的雕刻更细致更美丽所以才被认为是给女性建造的寺庙。其实女王宫跟女王并没什么关系
市内からスクーターで50分かかりました。一部アスファルトの車道に穴があいていたりするので運転に注意が必要ですがほぼ一本道なので真っ直ぐ走らせながら周辺の景色が楽しめます。ガソリンスタンドは少ないので出発前に準備が必要です。遺跡の敷地が広く、駐車場、無料トイレ、土産屋、食べ物屋などの施設が整っていますし清潔です。ありがたいことに無料の飲料水スタンドがあります。遺跡の中心部の保存状態がよく、装飾がはっきりと分かります。アシがある人にはおすすめです。
이 곳은 앙코르와트 티켓으로 방문할 수 있는 약간 멀리 떨어져 있지만 작은 규모의 사원이 잘 보존 된 반테이 스레이 사원이다. 멋진 조각등이 선명히 남아 있고 입구에서 앙코르 와트 하루 표를 구입하여서 들어 갔다.\n복잡하고 규모가 큰 기존 앙코르 와트와 달리 숨겨진 보물인 것 같다.\n지난번 앙코르와트 3개 유명 사원 보았기에 이번에 숨겨진 사원을 찾았는데 멋지다
