바이욘 사원 (Bayon Temple)은 앙코르 톰의 중심에 위치하며, 앙코르 유적군에서 가장 중요한 사원 중 하나로, 12세기 말 자야바르만 7세에 의해 건설되었습니다. 사원의 가장 유명한 특징은 각각 네 면을 가진 54개의 탑으로, 각 면에는 "앙코르의 미소"로 알려진 거대한 미소 짓는 불상이 새겨져 있습니다. 이 신비로운 미소 짓는 얼굴들은 국왕 자신의 얼굴을 모델로 했다고 전해집니다. 바이욘 사원의 벽에는 당시의 전쟁 장면, 일상 생활, 신화 이야기를 묘사한 정교한 부조가 장식되어 있습니다. 사원의 건축 구조는 복잡하며, 여러 층의 플랫폼과 회랑이 있어 앙코르 건축 예술의 정점을 나타냅니다.
I must admit, at first I was not planning on visiting the place for obvious reasons, but then I changed my mind. And it sure was worth trying to understand Cambodia’s past.\n\nThe museum is very well maintained and has a tranquille aura to it despite the horrible past. The outside yard as well as birds singing make the stories told by the audio guide more bearable somehow.\nWhen taking an audio guide you can learn alot and spend more time at the museum than expected. I was there for almost 3 hours.\nThere are 4 building at Tuol Sleng, each one with 2 floors and a story of its own to tell. Some might find them too drastic, however all of us should know how this horror unfolded to spare our planet from repeating the same mistakes over and over again…
Sehr beeindruckendes Museum über die wahrscheinlich grausamste Zeit Kambodschas. hier sieht man einmal mehr, dass:"Der Mensch des Menschen Feind ist". Despoten, Diktaturen und Allmächtige geglaubte immer großes leid über die einfachen Menschen bringen. willkommen im hier und jetzt, manchz erscheint es so, als wären wir heute wieder an diesem Scheideweg. hier muss jeder dich selbst ins Gesicht blicken und sich fragen, was hätte ich getan. sich auf Gehorsam und Befehl herauszureden ist zu einfach und nicht reflektiert.\nuns hat es ganz stark an die Genozide und Massenvernichtung erinnert. wir Deutschen sollten hier besonders sensibel sein und den Anfängen einhalt gebieten. nicht auf der welt, sondern im eigenen Land.\nder Rundgang erfordert 2h mit Audioguide und ist dringend angeraten. S21 kann man nur so erleben und nachspüren. eine Überlebenden zu treffen war sehr bewegend.

非常好的博物馆，展示和讲解都做得很好，可以详细的了解红色高棉带来的伤害，非常值得的参观了解。
Se siete a Phmom Pehn e non siete proprio allergici alla storia non potete non visitarlo, audioguide anche in Italiano, non fatevi trarre in inganno dal fatto che in cassa c'è scritto "audioguida in inglese e kmer" al ritiro ci sono in tutte le lingue. Da abbinare ai killing fields per una comprensione completa. Sulla storia del luogo non scrivo nulla tanto se siete arrivati qui a grandi linee la conoscete. All'uscita due anziani sopravvissuti se volete vi vendono il loro libricino di memorie anche in italiano.
