Prasat Preah Vihear is an ancient Khmer Hindu temple located on the border between Cambodia and Thailand. The ownership of this temple has been disputed between the two countries, but it is currently under the actual jurisdiction of Cambodia's Preah Vihear Province. In 2008, the temple was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The history of Prasat Preah Vihear dates back to the 9th century, commissioned by the monarchs of the Khmer Empire and built between the mid-10th and early 12th centuries. Perched on a 550-meter-high cliff, it overlooks the entire Cambodian plain. Due to its remote location and challenging terrain, Prasat Preah Vihear is remarkably well-preserved. Its architectural style is similar to Angkor Wat. This ancient temple site spans 800 meters in length and 400 meters in width across the cliff face, with long staircases on all four sides. The temple has four levels with four courtyards, each level featuring gates and walls, reflecting the unique architectural style of the Angkor dynasty period. The World Heritage Committee noted that Prasat Preah Vihear has an excellent location, with its architecture fully integrated into the natural landscape and religious function, and the exquisite stone carvings within the temple are treasures of ancient civilization.

ツアーで行きました。朝8時出発してひたすら走って3時間、4駆ピックアップトラックに乗り換え山の頂上に軽い登り坂の参道800メートルある遺跡です。タイの国境も近くタイ国旗が見えます。遺跡は手付かずの状態が多く見られ寂しく感じます。こんな高い山頂に城を築き高い文明を思わせる景色も遺跡も素晴らしい天空の城でした。世界遺産になったのでぜひとも修復して欲しいです！
非常壮观，印象最深，下次还来。
観光客が少なくアンコールワットよりも迫力がある。\n頂上からの景色はまさに絶景。\n綺麗な空を見るなら、雨季の晴れ間がベスト。\n乾季だと、空が煙っている。\n\n数年前まで、ここを巡ってタイとカンボジアで紛争をしていたらしく、今でも塹壕の跡が残っている。\nその紛争の原因となったのは、元々タイとカンボジアの国境にあったこの遺跡をユネスコがカンボジアの遺跡だと認定したからだとか。\n\nそれまでは、この遺跡からタイへ出入国できていたようだ。\n現在は、国境は閉ざされている。\n\n行き方は、シェムリアップからタクシーをチャーターして行くのが一般的で一台USD120〜130。\n安く行くならレンタルバイクがおススメ。\n往復7時間くらいを目安に考えておくとよい。\n\n個人的には、Angkol Wat, Angkol Tom よりも、ここやSambor Preikuk Templeをオススメする。
1.柏威夏離吳哥窟車程真的要3小時，不是開玩笑的，所以來回光是做車就要6小時，一點都不誇張，所以一定要善待帶你前往的司機。\n2.來這裡需另外支付門票與換車的費用，需要是先準備好現金。\n3.這裡是邊境，所以邊境警察都持有步槍；手機也會收到泰國電信的訊息，網路就不太穩了。\n4.這裡有一個視野非常好的至高點，往下看真的會害怕，而且風也很大，在山上蓋宮殿真的是很猛。\n5.這裡的猴子會為了糖果打架。
