Wat Botum, also known as Wat Botum Kongkea or the "Lotus Flower Pagoda," is a historic Buddhist temple located in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Established in 1442 during the reign of King Ponhea Yat, it is one of the oldest and most important temples in the capital. Originally named "Khpop Ta Yang" or "Tayawng," the temple was renamed "Botum Wathei" by monk Kanite Topodae after its former lotus pond. The temple features beautiful traditional Khmer architecture with ornate decorations and serves as an important spiritual center for the local community. Wat Botum has witnessed centuries of Cambodian history and continues to be an active place of worship and meditation. The temple grounds are peaceful and well-maintained, offering visitors a serene environment to experience Cambodian Buddhist culture and architecture.

Very good place if you are alcohol lover & music also they have small games happening on streets to keep you busy, many place to get massage done, very cheap & pocket friendly in off seasons.
The liveliest part of Siem Reap city at night. The beer is reasonably priced i.e. not "tourist price". However, the food menu can be a bit pricey.
Happening place for night life- bars, cafes , shopping and other activities.... Best to spend evening time after full day temple tours...
