반테아이 스레이 사원은 앙코르 톰 북동쪽, 프놈 쿨렌 근처에 위치하고 있습니다. 앙코르 유적 중에서도 독특하고 정교한 건축의 보석으로, 화려한 색상과 정교한 부조로 세계적으로 유명하며 "앙코르 예술의 보석"이라 불립니다. 반테아이 스레이라는 이름은 "여성의 성채"를 의미하며, 여성에 의해 건설되고 조각되었다고 추측됩니다. 중앙 탑과 큰 도서관에는 수많은 신상이 있습니다. 벽, 기둥 등 건축 표면은 정교한 조각으로 덮여 있으며, 복잡한 디자인과 우아한 선이 특징입니다. 대부분의 앙코르 유적이 청사암을 사용한 것과 달리, 반테아이 스레이는 크메르 특유의 붉은 사암으로 건설되어 매우 선명한 색상과 잘 보존된 조각이 특징입니다.
