분 로엉 부인의 고택 (Mrs. Bun Roeung's Ancient House) 은 바탐방 (Battambang) 의 상케르 강 (Sangker River) 서쪽 강둑에 있는 왓 코르 마을 (Vat Kor Village) 에 위치한 아름답게 보존된 전통 크메르 목조 가옥입니다. 20세기 초에 지어진 이 역사적인 주택은 고상식 구조, 정교한 목각, 전통적인 디자인 요소를 갖춘 고전적인 캄보디아 건축을 보여줍니다. 이 집은 분 로엉 가문에 의해 여러 세대에 걸쳐 세심하게 유지되어 왔으며, 프랑스 식민지 시대 부유한 캄보디아 가족의 생활 방식을 엿볼 수 있는 귀중한 기회를 방문객에게 제공합니다. 내부에는 원래 가구, 가보, 시대 장식품이 있어 바탐방의 풍부한 문화 유산 이야기를 들려줍니다. 방문객은 다양한 방을 탐험하고, 목조 건축의 장인 정신을 감상하며, 전통적인 크메르 가정 생활에 대해 배울 수 있습니다. 이 집은 다른 여러 잘 보존된 식민지 시대 건물을 포함하는 왓 코르 마을 유산 지역의 일부입니다. 건축, 역사, 캄보디아 문화에 관심이 있는 사람들에게 훌륭한 목적지입니다.
Lots of history shared by the host during my visit. It was bittersweet knowing that so many people used this amazing house as the only source for water during Khymer Rouge reign of terror.

Well preserved and beautiful Cambodia ancient house!\n\nHowever the ticket price for local seems to be overpriced.\n\nThe house keeper welcomed the foreign tourists and local in different ways.
I was kindly shown around individually by the owner to save me waiting for 40 minutes for the next group to arrive. It cost $2 which I thought was reasonable. It took about 20 minutes to tell me about the place and then I was free to wander around on my own and take photos. I was not pressured into buying any souvenirs. The house is old and was built in 1920 so we would not call it ancient; something slightly amiss with the translation. It was interesting but do not make it a priority. Fit it in if you have nothing else to see.
+ The house is extremely old, yet magnificent, and it's a real chance to be able to visit such a beautiful architecture, filled with ancient artefacts.\n\n- The unpleasant part was the way we were absolutely rushed through a mechanical 7 minutes top visit (with absolutely no other visitor around), and given a presentation uttered robot like, emotionless. We weren't authorised to take photos while the woman was talking, and ordered to do so after she would be done. I'm not sure we saw the whole house, as there are pics of an ancient bed in the previous reviews, that never appeared while visiting. I bought a small Khmer scarf in the shop section for my son, so maybe that's why we weren't asked the 2 dollars previous reviews mention as a "mandatory fee".\n\nOverall and even though the visit could be rushed, I would still recommend it for the sake of this well preserved traditional rich Khmer house. But how wonderful it would be to feel that the guide was actually pleased to share its History...
